QUESTION deactivate plugin when changing domain name?

I have the plugin installed but will change the domain name in the near future. The website will be hosted on the same server.
The old domain name will be an alias.

Do I have to deactivate the HideMyLogin plugin temporarily?

Or can I leave it and will all settings be similar?

Just in case, deactivate the plugin before transferring the site.
