I just upgraded from version 2.3.1 to 2.3.4 and when I try to access a page with a snippet, the snippet does not run and I have the following error in the Apache error_log file:

I rolled back to version 2.3.1 and the problem disappeared so this is obviously a problem with version 2.3.4 (or versions newer than 2.3.1 anyway).
