QUESTION WebP Optimization

I have few question about WebP optimization.
1. Why WebP pictures are much more bigger then jpg? Google Page Speed don't like this situation. Either do I. Do you have settings for this format?
2. What if one of your servers is not working correctly, and I find out in hindsight that the pictures were not optimized and I need to go through and optimize the pictures by hand? Can this process be automated?

Hello.

1) This is a feature of the WebP format. Some images in WebP weigh more than their original in JPG. There are no settings for WebP
2) You can run mass optimization in the plugin section.
